The Newton Public Library is currently accepting bids for the ground maintenance during the 2023 and 2024 mowing seasons of the Newton Public Library located at 100 N. 3rd Ave W., Newton, Iowa. Grounds maintenance services include lawn care and landscaping care for the library grounds. The Library Board of Trustees is seeking a 2-year grounds maintenance contract. Services required for landscaping and lawn care are identified in the General Requirements. The requirements shall be used as guidelines, but may be adjusted from time to time as mutually agreed upon by the Library Director and the grounds maintenance services contractor. Contractor shall coordinate work activities and hours with the Director, provide a certificate of insurance annually documenting all insurance coverage as dictated below, and provide all equipment for grounds maintenance. Interested parties are encouraged to make a site visit prior to the bid date to become familiar with the general site conditions.
