SummaryIn order to gain economies of scale, Mohave is formally soliciting sources for facility furnishings as specified within this Request for Proposal. These products/services are requested for Mohave’s statewide membership of approximately 480 public agencies. However, other members may be added during the term of an awarded contract(s). A current list of all members can be found on Mohave’s website at www.mesc.org. Contracts, in whole or in part, shall be awarded to offeror, or offerors, for an initial one (1) year term and four (4) potential one-year extensions (contract modification). Furnishing product categories may include, but not be limited to: cafeteria, classroom, conference room, dormitory, laboratory, library furniture, locker room, mailroom, mobile cabinets, office,

reception, storage units, and waiting area. Offerors should respond to as many areas in the scope of work as possible. If an offeror doesn’t provide a particular product category, please “no bid” that specification. Mohave will consider all offers; however, vendors with the ability to supply more than one furnishing product category are preferred.1.2. BackgroundThe scope of work and specifications define the quality and characteristics of the desired materials and application. They are based upon specifications for known acceptable manufacturers, processes, materials and/or brands such as Artco Bell, Bretford, Brodart, Clarin, Draper, FireKing, Fleetwood, KI, National Office Furniture, Penco, Scholarcraft, Sico, Virco, Wenger and/or equal quality products. The specifications are not intended to be exclusive or to restrict competition. Offerors may offer alternate solutions, including alternate manufacturers, which meet the quality and performance characteristics in the specifications. Mohave shall review such offers and be the final judge on the acceptance of any alternate solutions.Four contract vendors hold Mohave’s current contracts for the specified products and services. Activity under the contracts from January 30, 2019 including year to date activity (as of the publication date of this RFP) is $73,257,718. This information is provided as an aid to offerors in preparing proposals only. It is not to be considered a guarantee of volume under an awarded contract. The discount and pricing schedule shall apply regardless of the volume of business under the contract.Manufacturer Dealer Restrictions:If a contract vendor loses authorization to supply a manufacturer’s product line during the course of the awarded contract, Mohave may allow the transfer of the product line to another awarded, manufacturer-authorized contract vendor. All manufacturer product line transfer requests shall be at Mohave’s sole discretion and will be subject to review and approval by Mohave.Restriction of Services/Products:Bleachers of any type that are mounted or portable used indoor or outdoor are not allowed in this solicitation. Telescopic Bleacher Seating, Telescopic Platform Seating, Fixed Spectator Seating System are currently being provided by contracts awarded under IFB 19I-0709, and shall not be offered under IFB 23G-1005. Portable bleachers are currently being provided by contracts awarded under IFB 19O-1121 and shall not be offered under IFB 23G-1005.Lease or rental of furniture for facilities is not allowed.Sales of used or reconditioned furniture for facilities is not allowed.Installation of water, gas services or electrical wiring is not allowed.Installation of electrical wiring and cabling or low voltage wiring is not allowed.Interactive Displays/Whiteboards are not allowed.1.3.
