Synopsis of proposed contract action for FEI COMPANY to provide a “Preferred 48 Hours” service agreement for a Quanta 600 Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)  The service contract must provide for a service technician that has schematics and an intimate knowledge of the SEM brand, specifically the Quanta 600.  The contract price must include travel time to the AFRL and providing spare parts when needed.  In addition, a repair response time of 48 hours is mandatory, in order to minimize down time of the SEM.  The service contract must also include scheduled preventive maintenance visits in order to undertake ordinary repairs and adjustments arising from normal usage of the equipment.  The vendor must be an authorized maintenance, installation, and repair service provider of the manufacturer. **Please see attachment for complete
