Summary DetailsThe proposed contract requires the provision of all phases of Timber Sale Development of timber in the Dawson Creek TFL 48. This includes approximately 200,000 cubic metres of multi-phase block assessment and layout services for timber sale licence development. The contract will require a range of qualified professionals and technical staff working in various conditions including isolated areas. Forest development activities will include but are not limited to total resource plans, block planning, block/road layout, timber cruising, site plans, assessments (blocks, roads, bridges, terrain, windthrow, stream, wildlife, visuals, etc.) and timber sale package preparations. Contract deliverables will be planned for completion throughout the fiscal year to meet the business area quarterly targets. Deadline for receiving questions is 9:30 am on April 2nd, 2024. If questions are received, a Question & Answer document will be posted to BC Bid by April 9th, 2024. Tender submissions must be submitted in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in the tender package. See Conditions of Tender for acceptable bid securities.The lowest priced or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. Be aware that BCTS has made changes to its EMS and SFM programs to meet the updated 2022 Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Forest Management Standard. Changes impacting BCTS clients include new training requirements (Table 008-1, 008-1A, Tailgate Training, SFI Awareness documents, and new Indigenous rights awareness training, as well as changes to training frequency and a new continuing education component). In addition, note changes to EMS/SFM Environmental Field Procedures and Incident Reporting Procedures which occurred June 1st, 2022. Supervisors and workers will need to be familiar with these changes prior to commencement of operations.
