Design and Construction Innovation Management (DCIM) in Connection with Building Envelope Commissioning Services

Description General Information/Brief Summary: The SCA anticipates awarding up to three (3) requirements-type contracts to provide the New York City School Construction Authority (“SCA”) with Building Envelope Commissioning Services in accordance with the latest New York City Green Schools Guide (“NYCGSG”) and the latest New York City Energy Conservation Code (“NYCECC”) at various schools and facilities citywide. The Not-to-Exceed (“NTE”) award amount of each contract will be up to Two Million ($2,000,000) Dollars. The duration of each contract will be three (3) years with no renewal options.The Consultants selected under this RFP will provide the SCA with Building Envelope Commissioning Services in accordance with the latest NYCGSG and NYCECC at various schools and facilities citywide. These regulations pertain to fundamental commissioning, verification, and envelope commissioning.The Design and Construction Innovation Management Division anticipates that all capacity projects, which

involve new buildings, additions, or envelope retrofits, will require a comprehensive review of the building envelope systems throughout the design process to comply with the 2019 NYCGSG fundamental commissioning and verification credit (E1.1P) requirement. In addition, projects may also pursue the envelope commissioning credit (E1.3A) of the 2019 NYCGSG with SCA direction.
