RFP for City of West Sacramento Zoning Modernization 2017
The City desires a top to bottom review of its Zoning Ordinance but may also need to start from scratch in many ways. Any existing provisions that are determined to be retained would need to be incorporated into the new framework. The overall philosophical goal is to develop an "outcome based" zoning ordinance that helps achieve desirable outcomes rather than focusing on preventing undesirable outcomes. Desired land uses and forms need to be encouraged and accommodated by the new Zoning Ordinance. This includes mixed use projects in keeping with the new and improved mixed use designations in General Plan 2035. Development standards need to be aligned with allowable densities and building product types.RFP/RFI Packet
