D--Digital Radios,Air Time, and Maintenance for Emergency Communications

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Strategic Acquisition Center Frederick (SAC-F), intends to issue a sole-source, firm-fixed priced commercial award to provide to provide digital radio airtime and maintenance through Land Mobile Radio Trunking System located in the D.C. area. A sole source procurement will be issued to Pegasus Radio Corp (doing business as Federal Radio, in accordance with FAR 13.501 Special Documentation Requirements, where acquisitions conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6, but still require a justification using the format of FAR 6.303-2. The NAICS code for this procurement is 811213 Communications Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The size standard is $11 Million. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any responsible source may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirements and submit quotations by the closing date/time of this notice. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
