OHIO TURNPIKE AND INFRASTRUCTURE COMMISSION 682 Prospect Street Berea, Ohio 44017 NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed Bids will be received by the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission (“Commission”) from Bidders subscribing to Bid Express (https://www.bidexpress.com) and selecting the following Project for Bidding: PROJECT NO. 43-24-03 BRIDGE DECK REPLACEMENT AND BRIDGE REMOVAL OHIO TURNPIKE OVER NORTH COAST INLAND TRAIL M.P. 83.3 OHIO TURNPIKE OVER WAGGONER ROAD (C.R. 82) M.P. 83.3. SANDUSKY COUNTY, OHIO Bids are to be submitted in accordance with the Contract Documents prepared by the Commission. Prevailing Wage Rates and Equal Employment Opportunity requirements apply to this Project. The Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Goal applicable to this Project is 12%. Failure to certify a commitment to meet the SBE Goal or failure to satisfactorily demonstrate Good Faith Efforts used to attain SBE participation for this
project shall be grounds for the Commission to consider the Bid nonresponsive and may cause the Bid to be rejected. Pollution Liability Insurance is required under GC Art. 12.1.3 for this Project. Bids will be received for this Project, which includes the following: The Work to be performed under the Contract for Project No. 43-24-03 consists of removing a mainline bridge, embankment construction and replacing with roadway on grade, repairing bridge superstructure components, including: bridge deck replacement, replacing bridge deck joints; rehabilitating bearing devices; substructure repairs; sealing of construction joints; slope repairs; maintenance of traffic; and all other items incidental to the completion of the Work. All Work is to be performed as per the Plans, Drawings, Specifications, Special Provisions, Technical Specifications, and other Contract Documents for this Project. Bids will be accepted until April 3, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. (Eastern Time), when all Bids will be accessed, opened and read aloud. Bidders should submit all questions no later than seven (7) days prior to Bid Opening. Contract Documents are available by registering for a free vendor account and logging into Bid Express® (https://www.bidexpress.com). However, Bidders must obtain a paid subscription to Bid Express and select the Project for Bidding to submit a Bid. https://www.bidexpress.com/ https://www.bidexpress.com/ The Contract Documents may be reviewed for bidding purposes without charge by registering and logging into Bid Express®. A Contract will be awarded, if any award be made, to the Bidder determined to have submitted the lowest responsive and responsible Bid for the performance of the Work.
