The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office requires a dredging contract for the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, Texas, Rollover Pass to Galveston Causeway in Galveston and Chambers Counties, Texas, Pipeline Dredging.Project Information: The work consists of Schedule No. 1 - Maintenance pipeline dredging totaling approximately 685,000 cubic yards (CY). Of the total: approximately 50,000 CY vicinity of rollover pass with placement at placement area (PA) No. 35 and approximately 90,000 CY of material with beneficial use / beach placement at Rollover Beach; approximately 365,000 CY of the total between Rollover Pass and the Bolivar Flare with placement at upland confined PA No. 42; and approximately 185,000 CY of material at the Bolivar Flare with placement at upland confined PA No. 43.Option 1: Galveston Alternate Route. Approximately 350,000 CY with open water placement at PA 50.Option 2: Dredging North Ferry Channel to Port Bolivar. Approximately 140,000 CY with placement
at PA 43.Completion Time: Schedule No. 1 - 130 calendar days. Option No. 1 - 30 calendar days and Option No. 2 - 10 calendar days.If the contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified, the contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the Government in the amount of $3,445.00 for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted.The contractor will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (5) calendar days after award. The contractor shall begin work within (10) calendar days after acknowledgement of the notice to Proceed.The Solicitation issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.The solicitation is advertised as "UNRESTRICTED-FULL & OPEN COMPETITION TO BOTH LARGE & SMALL BUSINESSES". The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 237990 - Dredging: To be considered small for purposes of Government procurement, a firm must perform at least 40 percent of the volume dredged with its own equipment or equipment owned by another small dredging concern. The Small Business Size Standard is $27.5 Million.The solicitation will be issued on or about 17 July 2018. Response date is 16 August 2018 @ 2:00 PM (All bids must be submitted electronically via AMRDEC Safe).
