NNL is issuing this request for information to identify sources capable of developing and building laser powder bed fusion machines with build heights of 53 inches or greater. These machines should have horizontal dimensions of at least 10" x 10" in addition to the increased build height of 53 inches. Increased build height will be used to manufacture parts requiring more space than is currently available in commercial machines. Material properties of finished parts should be equal to or better than existing smaller machines are capable of.Materials to be developed for use in these machines include:•    Inconel Alloy 625  •    Inconel Alloy 690•    304 SS  In addition to designing machines, vendor cooperation with material property testing is requested during the design phase.
