San Bernardino City Unified School District consists of small schools in rural mountain and foothill communities and larger suburban schools in valley flatland areas. The district operates 50 elementary schools, 11 middle schools, and 10 high schools. In addition, the District operates a continuation school, community day school, independent study schools, charter schools, and adult education and preschool programs.
