Overview ECC is making efforts to improve dining operations in a perpetually changing environment. Building ongoing partnerships with campus constituents and providing timely response to changing needs and institutional priorities is vital to a successful program. The District is seeking innovative or traditional proposals from qualified food service firms and/or local companies. There is a strong interest in flexible, creative, quality, consistent, affordable, and culturally inclusive food options for the students and staff. Additionally, concessions for public events, graduations, and football games may be offered in the form or prepackaged concessions or food trucks for hot food. Contractor shall hold all valid licenses/permits, and employees must be serve-safe certified. In summary, ECC desires to enhance the student experience by providing food service options from a collaborative dining partner. Scope of Work A food sample/tasting representative of the proposed menu options is required (at no cost to the District), to be scheduled upon proposal submittal. The evaluation committee will score and invite the top 3 to 5 proposers to provide a taste testing for approximately 25 ECC stakeholders. The sampling will include American and cultural cuisines. Additionally, a tour of the proposers’ facilities is required, to be scheduled upon proposal submittal. Other Details 1. Submittal of Bid Proposals. Registration on PlanetBids is required. All Bid Proposals must be submitted via online forms furnished by the District on PlanetBids prior to the DUE DATE/TIME for submittal of Bid Proposals. The Bid Proposal forms shall not be modified or altered by the bidder and is subject to disqualification by the District. 2. Waiver of Irregularities. The District reserves the right to reject any or all Bid Proposals or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any Bid Proposal or in the bidding. 3. Award of Contract. The Contract for the Purchase, if awarded, will be by action of the District's Board of Trustees to the responsible Bidder submitting the best responsive and responsible Bid Proposal Notes Responses must be submitted on PlanetBids and on forms furnished by the District and must be submitted electronically via the District’s PlanetBids portal; Pre-Bid Inquiry Responses submitted in any other manner will be rejected for non-responsiveness.
