Bid Number:23-10 Bid Title:Request For Proposals for Professional Auditing Services Category:FinanceStatus:Open Description: The Town is soliciting the services of qualified firms of certified public accountants to audit the Town of Lexington. These audits are to be performed in accordance with the provisions contained in this Request for Proposals.The Town desires the audit be performed in accordance with auditing standards generally accepted in the United States of America and Government Auditing Standards issued by the Comptroller General of the United States.The Town does expend federal funds through grant awards from time to time and therefore a single audit is sometimes required. It is expected that a single audit will be required at least the next two to three years.The Town has one blended component unit. The Saxe Gotha Lexington Public Facilities Corporation (the “Corporation”) is governed by a board comprised of the Town’s elected Council. The Corporation has been organized

exclusively for charitable purposes, specifically to promote essential governmental endeavors and functions, primarily the construction of one or more projects, including, without limitation, the construction of public facilities for the Town and all required site work (or any part thereof) and to finance the cost of such construction on behalf of the Town.Pursuant to state regulation, the audit must include a review of the accounting controls over the collection, reporting, and distribution of fines and assessments from the point of collection to the point of distribution and a Uniform Supplemental Schedule Form detailing all fines and assessments collected at the court level, the amount remitted to the municipal treasurer and the amount remitted to the State Treasurer.
