The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Ames Research Center (ARC) is hereby soliciting information about potential sources for a Honeywell Aspire 200, INMARSAT, Swift Broadband service compatible, airborne satellite data system for the EH60-L helicopter, including the Honeywell unique High-Data Rate (HDR) software feature, for specialized integration and operation on the EH60-L Blackhawk research helicopter.Specifications:Aspire 200 HG System (1541-K-1006-51), consisting of:- HDU-200 Transceiver- SIM Card Module- IPLD- AMT-700HGA- CNX-900 Cabin Gateway- CNX-900 Personality module- Maintenance Cable Assembly- AMT-700 Radome (Gray)- Aspire 200 High Data Rate software upgrade- Aspire 200 High Data Rate Activation Key- Aspire 200 STC Data Package/Installation HardwareSalient Characteristics:- Helicopter qualified flight satellite hardware.- Hardware and system approved specifically for integration and operation on the Blackhawk series of helicopters.- Capability to
compensate for throughput losses caused by rotor blockage and interference.- Compatible with commercial INMARSAT Swift Broadband data service.Place of Performance:U.S. Army AFDDAmes Research Center Moffett Field, CA 94035ARC is seeking capability statements from all interested parties, including Small, Small Disadvantaged (SDB), 8(a), Woman-owned (WOSB), Veteran Owned (VOSB), Service Disabled Veteran Owned (SD-VOSB), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) businesses, and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU)/Minority Institutions (MI) for the purposes of determining the appropriate level of competition for this requirement. The Government reserves the right to consider a Small, 8(a), Woman-owned (WOSB), Service Disabled Veteran (SD-VOSB), or HUBZone business set-aside based on responses hereto.No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website (www.fbo.gov). It is the potential offeror's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of any solicitation or synopsis.Interested offerors/vendors having the required specialized capabilities to meet the above requirement should submit a capability statement indicating the ability to perform all aspects of the effort described herein, and include company name, address, points of contact, business size and category (e.g., large, small, SDB, WOSB, VOSB, SDVOSB, 8(a)).Please advise if the requirement is considered to be a commercial or commercial-type product.
