Plug/Ring Gauge Verification

This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to determine the capability and availability of commercial sources to inspect and certify eight “go/no go” gauges that were fabricated by our lock gate supplier were made correctly and meet ACME and/or ISO 17025 thread specifications.  These gauges are used to measure acceptability within the tolerances for the internal threads of the sleeve nut and external threads on the anchor bar that are used to support lock and dam miter gates.  There are two sets of thread sizes that include 6 ½” - 1 and 6 ½” – 1.33.  The contractor will be responsible for verification of accuracy that our four (4) solid plug gauges and four (4) ring gauges to meet the upper and lower tolerances of centralizing ACME 4C threads.  The list of gauges include:Plug Gauges:6 ½” – 1 (plus)6 ½” – 1 (minus)6 ½” – 1.33 (plus)6 ½” – 1.33 (minus)Ring Gauges:6 ½” – 1 (plus)6 ½” - 1 (minus)6 ½” – 1.33 (plus)6 ½” – 1.33 (minus) THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE
