Alief Independent School District is seeking Property/Windstorm and Boiler & Machinery Insurance. The District is not requesting the services of a consultant/agent/broker. All proposals are to be net of commissions payable to agents or brokers not directly working for the vendor. All proposals must be submitted with a notation of the dollar amount or percentage of the commission included in the rates. Respondent must have a minimum of five (5) consecutive years of experience in the industry for the products/services offered in order to be considered for contract award. All responses must be submitted electronically by the deadline of Friday, April 20, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. CST, after which time the names of vendors submitting proposals will be available. Your presence at the bid opening is not required. Contract award is anticipated at the May 2023 board meeting. Awarded vendors will be notified electronically.The plan year is June 1-June 1, with the option to renew annually for three (3)
additional years in one (1) year increments (to June 1, 2027) if mutually agreeable and subject to approval of funding and review of service provided by the proposer. The District will award this contract to the vendor whose proposal represents the best overall value. The District may exercise a renewal option if the terms of the renewal offer represent a satisfactory value as determined solely by the District. Factors other than premium or contract price will be considered when evaluating annual renewal options. Consideration of contract renewal is contingent upon renewal rates being received by the District ninety (90) days prior to the expiration of the current contract and mutual agreement of proposed pricing.In the event the contract expires prior to the execution of a new contract, this contract may be extended on a month-to-month basis with mutual agreement. Either party may terminate this agreement at any time without penalty by giving a 60 day written notice of intent to terminate as of the date specified in the written notice.The District believes the data contained in this RFP is sufficient for the preparation of responses to this RFP.
