First published Friday, April 4, 2014 Project DescriptionSouthern Illinois University Carbondale is seeking letters of interest from qualified architectural and engineering firms to provide a professional service retainer contract for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection design services.Letter SubmissionQualifications and supporting materials will be accepted at the address below until 2:00 PM, Wednesday April 30, 2014: Procurement Services 113 Wakeland Hall, MC-6813 1215 Douglas Drive Carbondale, IL 62901 The Architect and Engineer firms are to provide professional services on an open-ended basis for a term not to exceed eight (8) years or $5,000,000, whichever expires first. There would not be any guarantee of work assigned. Services would be performed on an as needed basis during the contract period. The following are some, but not all of the typical services that could be required by the professional Engineer selected: HVAC and temperature control systems; plumbing systems; steam and chilled water piping generation and distribution systems; fire protection/sprinkler systems; fume hoods/exhaust systems; electrical systems.
