The Regional Financial Management Office (RFMO) provides full financial management services to Southern Africa mission. RFMO is responsible for all financial management operations including budgeting, accounting, payments, financial analysis, reporting, and risk and audit management. The Regional Controller is the principal manager and advisor for all financial management systems, practices, and procedures. The incumbent is responsible for planning, directing, and administering comprehensive accounting, reporting, and budgeting systems designed to provide senior Mission management with timely financial information for making operating and programmatic decisions. The incumbent must establish and ensure that all controls comply with all U.S Government regulations and directives. The Regional Controller is directly responsible for supervising, managing, and mentoring two authorized certifying officers, a financial management specialist, and up to 40 (forty) FSNs. The incumbent will indirectly supervise a deputy controller and a financial management officer.
