RFB #2024-09 -RFB - Coon Rapids Dam - Bridge, Culvert & Trail Reconstruction

Special Notice - All Questions and All Bids must be submitted via email to BOTH - Michelle.Peterson@anokacountymn.gov and Carrie.Johnson@anokacountymn.gov This project involves replacing two Lower Coon Creek crossings in Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park (CRDRP). The first crossing includes removing Bridge No. 92148, which carries Mississippi River Trail over Lower Coon Creek near its confluence with the Mississippi River, and constructing replacement Bridge R0952. The second crossing includes removing 4-60” RCP culverts, which carry a park trail over Lower Coon Creek, and constructing replacement Bridge R0955. Proposed Bridge R0952 is a 140-foot longsingle-span, prefabricated steel truss with cast-in-place concrete abutments. Propose Bridge R0955 is a precast concrete arch culvert with a span of 29-ft and length of 24-ft. Trail work includes reconstructing approximately 1600-ft of trail and 5200 sq. yd of reclamation. Associated work includes placing riprap for slope stabilization, hauling and disposing excavated material, and turf establishment. Anoka County will be awarding a separate contract (#2023-26) for stabilizing a portion of the southern bank of Coon Creek slopes of Coon Creek to the east of Bridge No. 92148. Work on this contract includes partial trail removal, channel excavation, placing vegetated riprap, and tree removal. Work in or near the water will be completed by March 15, 2024. Work outside of the water, such as, but not limited to, turf establishment, is anticipated through June 2024. The Contractor shall cooperate with this project per MnDOT
