Sealed envelopes containing Bids clearly marked “District of Kitimat Mechanical Upgrades - Sam Lindsay Aquatic Centre and Courthouse” and addressed to District of Kitimat shall be received at the offices of District of Kitimat, 270 City Centre, Kitimat BC V8C 2H7, before 2:30 p.m. local time, on May 18, 2023.The construction work is generally comprised of:SAM LINDSAY AQUATIC CENTRE AIR HANDLING UNIT UPGRADE:Removing existing air handling unit AHU-7. Removing existing pump serving AHU-7 heating coil. Capping all services for use in renovation. Supplying and installing a new knockdown, fan array type air handling unit to replace AHU-7. Connecting new unit to existing ductwork and piping. Supplying and installing new pump to service hydronic heating coil in air handler. Supplying and installing new pump and piping to service chilled water coil in air handler.DISTRICT OF KITIMAT COURTHOUSE MECHANICAL UPGRADE:Removing existing furnaces, RTU, and condensing units. Removing all existing
controls associated with the furnaces, RTU, and condensing units. Capping all services for use in renovation. Supplying and installing new furnaces, RTU, and condensing units. Supplying and installing new actuators on existing motorized dampers serving the furnace economizers. Supplying and installing new DDC controls for furnaces, RTU, and condensing units.PUBLIC WORKS YARD BUILDING MECHANIC SHOP VENTILATION UPGRADES:Supplying, installing, and balancing new ventilation system consisting of make-up air unit, ductwork, and exhaust fan. Plumbing for condensate drainage and natural gas piping. Supplying and installing gas detection and direct digital controls. Supplying and installing limit switch door sensors at each shop door.Optional Site Visit:Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 1:00PM starting at the Public Works Yard Building, 206 Enterprise Ave, Kitimat, BC, V8C 2C8 then heading to Sam Lindsay Aquatic Centre, 400 City Centre, Kitimat, BC, V8C 2G3, and then heading to BC Court Registry, 603 Mountainview Square, Kitimat, BC V8C 2N1. Steel toe boots and high visibility vests are required for the Public Works portion of the site visit.Tender documents may be obtained from the District of Kitimat on or after April 27, 2023.
