Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source delivery order with Daniels Electronics Ltd dba Codan Radio Communications (Codan).The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) California State Office intends to negotiate a firm fixed price delivery order with Codan under the mandatory use Field Communications (FieldCom) IDIQ contract issued by the Department of Interior, Interior Business Center Acquisitions Services Directorate. The vendor is Daniels Electronics Ltd dba Codan Radio Communications, 43 Erie Street, Victoria BC V8V 1P8, Canada.The items to be purchased are: 3 ea Stratus Receivers, 1 ea LMR-STRATUS-POWC1, 1 ea LMR-STRATUS-SRVT, Spare Parts, 4 ea VHF Base Stations, and 20 ea VHF Repeaters.This is a Brand Name Only requirement. The equipment must be compatible with existing BLM network, radios, and integration. Codan is the current infrastructure radio for the BLM CA Law Enforcement (LE) staff, Fire, and Admin staff. This radio purchase will be improving the existing communication for LE, Fire, and Admin staff and will be used to improve radio coverage and overcome geographical obstacles that obstruct the current BLM radio system. Daniels Electronics dba Codan is the mandatory FieldCom IDIQ source for this equipment.The NAICS for this requirement is 334220 `Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing, which has a size standard of 1,250 employees.This notice is NOT a request for quotes, it is informational only.
