S208--Landscaping Upgrades for LLVAHCS Campus

This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Responses to this sources sought notice must be in writing. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential businesses interested and capable of providing the services described below. VA Loma Linda Health Care System located at 11201 Benton STreet, Loma Linda, CA 92357 is seeking a contractor to provide landscaping and irrigation system design, installation and repairs. These services shall include: 1. Identifying all underground utilities prior to digging and grading surfaces. 2. Rough grade all areas to 3.0 below top concrete, remove and legally dispose of soil and debris as necessary, remove all surface FboNotices to a dept of 4 3. Use 2 applications of non-selective systemic herbicide by California

Licensed Pesticide Applicator to all turf area. 4. Rough grade approximately 40,000 SF and install 2 thick layer of Stabilized Cuban Gold Decomposed Granite, and 4 -8 stone rock and 3 -6 cobble rock per VA Loma Linda recommendations. 5. Apply one application of pre-emergent herbicide to all area s prior installation of Decomposed Granite and install weed cloth in all areas in SOW. 6. Install new 3 Mainline 40 -50 LF, wire 40 -50 LF, 50 irrigation heads Rainbird 1806 Sam Prs W/ Hunter 1401 Bubblers, and 1 - 1 Â1⁄2 laterals for new landscape layout approximately 1,200 SF and plant material. 7. Provide 8 hours consulting from Licensed Landscape Architect, All Irrigation and Planting Plan shall be prepared and stamped by California Architect. 8. Install approximately 15- 24 box trees, 30 Shrubs 15 Gal, 40 - 5 gallons shrubs, per VA Loma Linda Campus Landscape Design Guidelines 9. Contractor shall use 2 Superior 950 Valves, 1 Â1⁄2 - 2 valves, 25-35 irrigation sprinkler s heads to be Rainbird 1806 Sam p45 with hunter MP rotator nozzles, 1 1 Â1⁄2 laterals to be SCH.40 @ 12 depth main line to be SCH.40 @ 18 depth. Contractors are to install 1402 bubblers in each tree basin, 109 XB 10 PC emitters in each shrub basin, and distribution hose of XT 700. All applicable timers and wiring will be also tied into the existing system for automatic control. Rainbird RWS-B-C-1402 approximately 15 of them for Irrigation coverage. Valves shall be Superior 950 DW series 1 Â1⁄2 in NDS Jumbo Box with appropriate corresponding Christy Cattle Tag, Laterals (Sch. 40 and new heads for all plant material being saved or newly installed) Heads (Rainbird 1806 Sam Prs with 1401 bubbler and shrub adaptor Qty = (30) All trees to receive two (2) Rainbird RWS -B-C- 1401 10. Soil prep, and fertilize all turf areas according to soil suitability analysis and perform Agricultural Suitability Test on hillsides and sloped, and install Elite Plus Sodded Turf by A/G Sod Farms, 11. Remove designated trees (2), shrubs (10 Junipers), and groundcovers (Approximately 10,000 Sf) per VA Loma Linda COR recommendations. 12. Remove of and dispose offsite the existing weeds, trees, shrubs, grass trimmings, dirt after pruning and cleaning up the vegetation in the areas on SOW. 13. Provide As-Builts of all work areas. If you are interested and are capable of providing the required service(s) please provide the following information. (5) If you are an FSS GSA/NAC or other federal contract holder, are the referenced items/solutions available on your schedule/contract? (6) Please provide general pricing for your products/solutions for market research purposes. (7) Please submit a capability statement that addresses qualifications and verifies ability to perform work described above. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought announcement. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. The VA is mandated by Public Law 109-461 to consider a total set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. However, if there are insufficient Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business responses, an alternate set-aside or full and open competition may be determined. No sub-contracting opportunity is anticipated. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 561730 ($8 Million). After review of the responses to this sources sought announcement, a solicitation may be published on the FedBizOpps or GSA eBuy websites. Responses to this sources sought announcement will not be considered adequate responses to the solicitation. All interested offerors must respond to the solicitation in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. Prospective bidders must be authorized re-sellers in order to participate in the solicitation process. Notice to potential offerors: All offerors who provide goods or services to the United States Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov.
