3650--Unit o Use Automation Upgrade Notice of Sole Source

SPECIAL NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. THIS IS A NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT'S INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD. This notice is to announce that the Department of Veteran Affairs, Consolidated Mail-Outpatient Phamacy (CMOP) located in Hines IL. is sole sourcing an upgrade to the Unit of Use Automation (UUA) system to replace SDA 2000 ejectors, the Central Belt System(CBS), and the BBUs in two auto-pickers restoring the system back to full operations to KNAPP Inc. The overall project will include the delivery, installation, integration testing, and commissioning of 500 2007 ejectors. Based on the market research conducted, the Government believes the reason justifying this sole source procurement is that only one responsible source can meet the that will satisfy the agency's requirement for which the Government intends to negotiate an award under the authority of FAR 13.501(a).
