As part of the curriculum redesign, Alberta Education is developing the new LearnAlberta to support the work of staff and learning partners in the design, development, deployment, and continuous improvement of provincial curriculum for K-12. It is envisioned that the new LearnAlberta will enable learning and teaching resources to be accessed and utilized in innovative, efficient and purposeful ways. This system’s ability to aggregate components will increase the variety of learning experiences that are available to Alberta students. Alberta Education anticipates awarding one Contract for the provision of Intermediate User Experience Design Services described in the RFP. The User Experience Designer will be responsible for creating user‐friendly, visually appealing interfaces, with a focus on optimizing user experience and enhancing user engagement. The Resource will use various design tools and methodologies to gather user feedback, prototype, and iterate designs to deliver
high‐quality products that meet the user's needs. The role of the Contractor’s Resource under any resulting Contract will involve providing user experience design services on an inflight agile, cloud software development project as well as several small projects within Alberta Education.
