DG11--Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Communication Network and Support Services / Managed Zone Core - Astro 25 Trunked System

Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Motorola Solutions, Inc of Linthicum Heights, MD, to provide secure communication network and support services for Land Mobile Radio (LMR) equipment (also known as Managed Zone Core service of the Astro 25 Trunked System) for the VA Police at the Orlando VA Healthcare System (OVAHCS) and Miami VA Medical Center (VAMC). The Contractor shall provide 24 hour, 7 days per week, 365 days per year (24/7/365) monitoring of the Astro 25 Trunked System, software updates, 24/7/365 help desk and on-site support, preventive maintenance program, repair and/or replace system components as needed. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services in conjunction with Subpart FAR 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Products. NCO 8 anticipates awarding a firm fixed-price contract and only one responsible source reasonably

available to satisfy the agency requirements. The applicable NAICS Code is 515111 Radio Broadcasting Network services with a small business size standard of $32,500,000.00. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using secure communication network and support services for Land Mobile Radio (LMR) equipment (also known as Managed Zone Core service of the Astro 25 Trunked System), to the Contracting Officer within seven (10) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements, show experience providing secure communication network and support services for Land Mobile Radio (LMR) equipment (also known as Managed Zone Core service of the Astro 25 Trunked System) to Motorola radios, have access to Original Manufacturer Equipment (OEM) parts, software, and programming capabilities. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, NCO 8 will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Motorola Solutions, Inc.
