Greater Los Angeles VA Renovate space for Mail Room / Reprographics in Building 297 Construction Scope of Work BACKGROUND: This project renovates the space for Mail Room / Reprographics in Building 297 of the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (GLAVAHCS) located at 11301 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90073. SCOPE OF PROJECT: The intent of this project is to provide contractor services necessary for a Construction Project to provide labor, materials, construction equipment, technical skills, and transportation necessary to perform work for project No. 691-20-151, Renovate space for Mail Room / Reprographics in Building 297. The Contractor shall provide all necessary due diligences work including site survey to verify as -built conditions for this project in building 297 at the Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System - North Campus in accordance with items herein specified. The work includes but is not limited to construction of Mail room and Reprographics services area, remodel of
bathrooms, breakroom, electrical room, exterior painting, metal panel repair etc., as shown on drawings and specifications. The new Mail room services require ADA parking stalls that need to be provided in the existing parking lot as shown on the drawings. Some minor asphaltic regrading is required for the ADA parking stalls and path of travel from ADA parking stalls to the new entrance. Contractor to survey the existing grades and ensure compliance with codes and feathering with existing surrounding grades. Relocation of security gate is included in the work. Contractor to re-use existing fencing as much as is feasible and cost effective without compromising on quality. See drawings. Verify as-built dimensions and conditions shown on drawings with site investigation in field. Contractor must bring to the VA s contracting officer s attention any discrepancy he may find in the drawings and specs before bidding. Work shall be in compliance with OSHA and all applicable standards and codes described in VA Program Guides and design materials located at the VA Facility Management web site. A copy of the GLA Safety Polices and Permits is included that describe GLA-specific safety requirements and all the permits and forms that the contractor shall need during construction. General Requirements 01 00 00 includes GLA specific requirements and proposed staging area. It includes a list of violations with applicable fines enforced by VA s Safety department. PROPOSED TIMELINE: Contract completion time is 290 calendar days
