WANTED District/Aviaiton Security OfficersThe United States Marshals Service is recruiting District/Aviation Security Officers to assist the USMS by guarding and processing federal prisoners in the cellblock, courtroom, and during transport; guarding and transporting federal prisoners to and from medical appointments; and/or guarding federal, seized, or forfeited property.  Individuals may be required to travel, and such travel may require overnight stays. Eligible key personnel candidates will have a minimum of one year full-time law enforcement and/or corrections experience and meet one of the following criterion:District/Aviation Security Officers will be scheduled on an “on call/as needed” basis to work as on-call guards. General Requirements: All applicants must fulfill the following requirements:U.S. Citizenship21 years of age or olderHold high school diploma or General Equivalency Development (GED) credentialSpeak, read, and write the English languagePossess a valid U.S. driver’s licenseHold no felony criminal convictions, disqualifying misdemeanor convictions, or derogatory civil recordsNot currently subject to any court restraining orderAble to demonstrate firearms proficiency that meets USMS standards, if position requires the use of firearmsVeterans must have a honorable or general dischargeMust be approved fit-for-duty by a medical professional)Must provide medical certification/documentation of a current Hepatitis immunization and tuberculin (TB) skin test (annual requirement) or a signed statement stating the applicant assumes the risks and releases, holds harmless, and indemnifies the USMS employees and agentsInterested applicants should submit a letter of interest and resume to the USMS District Office in your
