Martin Road Bridge Replacement Project

SECTION 00020 - INVITATION TO BID Martin Road Bridge Replacement Project Sealed Bids for the Martin Road Bridge Replacement Project will be received at the office of the Town Administrator, Town Hall, 295 Main Street, Fremont, New Hampshire no later than 10:00 am on April 12, 2024, at which place, and time said Bids will be opened and read aloud in the Town Hall basement meeting room at 10:15 AM. All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes addressed to the Town Administrator, indicating the bidders name and address and the note “Bid: Martin Road Bridge Replacement Project”. If forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the bid and marked as directed above, must be enclosed within another envelope address to the Town of Fremont, Attn: Town Administrator, Town Hall, 295 Main Street, Fremont, NH 03044, preferably by registered mail. The work includes removal of the existing bridge; construction of a new 22’ x 7’ precast box culvert along Martin Road at Brown Brook; construction

of the roadway including embankment fill; construction of new headwalls; reconstruction of stream channel and riprap side slopes; guardrail and paving in the Town of Fremont, New Hampshire. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a certified treasurer's or cashier's check or bid bond in the sum of five (5) percent of the Bid Price. Contract Documents will be sent to Contractor’s in electronic format via e-mail, on or after March 19, 2024, from the office of Stantec Consulting Services Inc. 5 Dartmouth Drive, Suite 200, Auburn, New Hampshire 03032. Contract Documents will be available to view on or after March 19, 2024, at the following locations: Fremont Town Hall – Office of the Town Administrator – 295 Main Street, Fremont, NH 03044 Contract Documents will also be available on or after March 19, 2024, at the following locations: Associated General Contractors, 48 Grandview Road Bow, NH 03304 Construction Summary of NH, Inc. 734 Chestnut Street, Manchester, NH, 03104 Successful bidder must furnish 100 percent Construction Performance Bond, 100 percent Construction Payment Bond and a $75,000.00 Warranty Bond. Substantial contract completion time shall be October 7, 2024. Contract Final Completion time shall be October 31, 2024. No bidder may withdraw his/her Bid for a period of 90 calendar days after the actual date of the opening of the Bids. Complete instructions for filing Bids are included in the Instructions to Bidders. An optional pre-bid conference will be held on site at the Martin Road Bridge in Fremont, New Hampshire, at 10:00 am on March 27, 2024. Representatives of the Owner will be present to discuss the Project. Owner will transmit to all prospective Bidders of record such Addenda, as Owner considers necessary in response to questions arising at the conference. Oral statements made at the pre-bid conference may not be relied upon and will not be binding or legally effective.
