The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a requirement for tree felling at Montgomery Locks and Dam, Monaca, PA. The work under this contract includes the cutting down of all trees greater than 2-inch diameter at breast height within an approximately 7-acre area near Montgomery Locks and Dam as shown at the end of the PWS. Trees felled under this contract will be used for a future fish habitat improvement project to be constructed within the Montgomery Slough. The fish habitat improvement project requires whole trees including the main trunk, limbs, and treetop. Accordingly, trees must be felled whole with the trunk, limbs, and treetop left intact to the greatest extent possible. Felled trees are to be left in place after cutting.
