Low Carbon Fuel Standard - Initiative Agreement Program Design

The Ministry of Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation (Ministry) invites proposals to support the design the new Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) Initiative Agreement Program, produce program management tools and procedures, and create outreach and marketing materials from the date of signing a service contract to August 31, 2023.The LCFS Initiative Agreement Program is intended to stimulate investment in low carbon fuels, accelerate the market transformation towards lower carbon fuels, and support economic growth in British Columbia (BC). This new program will build upon the existing LCFS Part 3 Agreement Program. Proposed changes to the program include enabling broader participation to anyone in the fuel supply chain and expanding project eligibility to new fuel pools, and beyond transportation end uses including support for projects in remote communities that reduce electricity generation from diesel.
