draft Performance Work Statement (PWS). A general scope of the required services is as follows:
- Provide scheduled monthly pickups of data tapes from five of the United States Mint's facilities across the country (defined in the draft PWS), and perform emergency pickups, as needed;
- Deliver and store the data tapes at off-site storage facilities provided by the Contractor at each of the five geographical locations mentioned in the draft PWS;
- Destroy data tapes after the retention period, in accordance with applicable Federal regulations regarding the destruction of Government information;
- Provide disaster recovery services in the event of an emergency.
Interested firms are asked to provide the following in their response to this RFI in order to express interest and capability in any resulting solicitation:
1. The name, location, DUNS number, and point-of-contact information for the respondent's firm;
2. A brief capabilities statement, which includes a description of the respondent firm's standard line of business, experience, and a list of customers for which the respondent firm has provided similar services;
3. Confirmation that the respondent firm is capable of fulfilling the services outlined in the attached draft PWS;
4. Respondent firm's business size under NAICS 493190 (Other Warehousing and Storage).
All respondents are advised that the PWS may, at any time and without notice, be revised, and that their response to this RFI is not an offer and will not be considered for contract award. In the event that a solicitation is issued as a result of this RFI, interested parties are required to respond separately and formally in order to be considered for contract award. Please note that any subsequent solicitation will not reference this RFI. A solicitation may be available at a later date at the sole discretion of the United States Mint.
The United States Mint will consider written vendor responses received by the established deadline; 10:00 AM (ET) on May 3, 2017. Responses shall be submitted electronically to the following email address:

Requests for additional information and/or a copy of the solicitation will not be considered an affirmative response to this posting.
