General Bids will be received at the Tewksbury Department of Public Works, 999 Whipple Road, Tewksbury, MA 01876, until 2:00 pm prevailing time, on October 20, 2022 and publicly opened, forthwith online.The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, full removal and recoating of the existing interior and exterior coating systems for the existing 1.0 MG Astle Street Elevated Water Storage tank in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. Work shall include containment, paint removal and disposal, air quality

monitoring, miscellaneous repairs and renovations, recoating the interior and exterior of the tank, coordination throughout the project with cellular companies, and appurtenant items. Completed orders may be picked up at the office of Accent Printing located at 99 Chelmsford Road, North Billerica, MA 01862 (978-362- 8038), from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Copies may also be shipped to prospective bidders for an additional charge to cover handling and mailing fees. All payments for printing and shipping are nonrefundable. For addition to the project plan holder’s list to guarantee receipt of addenda, it is recommended interested bidders obtain the Contract Documents directly from Accent. Interested bidders will be prompted to register an email address with Accent to access the documents.The selected contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond in amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as stipulated in Section 00700GENERAL CONDITIONS of these specifications.All bids for this project are subject to applicable bidding laws of Massachusetts, including General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M, as amended.Prevailing Wage Rates as determined by the Director of the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development under the provisions of the Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H, as amended, apply to this project. A schedule of prevailing wages applicable to the Project will be provided with the bid documents. It is the responsibility of the Bidder, before bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional information on Prevailing Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed work under this contract.By submission of a bid, the Bidder agrees that this bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded after the opening of bids.
