This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY, not a Request for Proposal (RFP) and does not commit the Government to award a contract now or in the future. This RFI is being used to gather market research to make decisions regarding the development of strategies to obtain technical and business information. In addition to input from the marketplace for project planning purposes regarding the availability of existing or potential solutions for the NIH Colocation Data Center Solutions; Cloud Services and Vendor relationships with the emphasis on achieving:Colocation Services (including data center consolidation for cost-efficient cloud and colocation facilities)Cloud Services Solution (infrastructure, backup, and disaster recovery services)Demonstrative reduction in unit costs, operating costs, and overall cost savingsThe information gained from Vendor responses will help the Government define its understanding of the availability of potential Vendors prior to the release of a Request for Proposal (RFP). The Government anticipates establishing an ordering vehicle in a future fiscal year to acquire services and support for the NIH Colocation Data Center Solutions and Cloud Services. At this time, an acquisition strategy has not been established for this requirement and the program team is currently in the early planning
