The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Louisville District publishes Request for Proposal (RFP) W912QR20R0049 to Conduct a Full Facility Restoration (FFR) on the 2000-member Army Reserve Center (USARC) at the existing Ft Totten, NY Army Reserve Center (ARC) Located at 200 Duane Rd., Ft Totten, Bayside, New York. This will be a Design/Build Construction project to fully renovate 146,000 SF of a 2,000-member Army Reserve Center (ARC) Training Building and will include new construction of asphalt parking areas with associated grade and drain work. Facilities will be designed according the USAR Design Guide, and to a minimum life of 40 years in accordance with DoD's Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC 1-200-02) including energy efficiencies, building envelope and integrated building systems performance. Scope of work will include design and repair construction of failing building systems to include Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), mechanical, electrical and plumbing (ME&P), fire alarm, telecommunications, and roof. Interior repair work includes corridors, classrooms, office areas, equipment rooms, commercial grade kitchen, restrooms, ceilings, lighting, doors, sprinklers, finishes and asbestos abatement. Exterior work includes site work, lighting and new Personal Operational Vehicle (POV) Parking. Accessibility for the disabled will be provided. Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) and physical security measures per Army Regulations will be incorporated into the design including maximum standoff distances from roads, parking areas and vehicle unloading areas. Sustainability/Energy measures will be provided. The project contains options such as: roof replacement, paved parking areas and supplemental AT/FP provisions.
