The Southwestern Power Administration has a requirement for upgrade and rebuild of a portion of the Norfolk to Van Buren 161kV transmission line, beginning at Clarksville and ending at structure 87 approximately 15.05 miles. The project is primarily located in the Clarksville, Arkansas area. The upgrade and rebuild project mainly consists of removal of predominantly wood pole H-frame structures and hardware with 556.5 kcmil ACSR conductor and replacement with predominantly galvanized steel H-frame structures and hardware for 1192.5 kcmil Grackle conductor and Optical Ground Wire (OPGW).
