Public Works Crewperson OpeningVillage of McFarland, WIThe Village of McFarland has an immediate opening for a Public Works Crewperson in the Public Works department. The Crewperson will be responsible for performing a wide variety of unskilled and semi-skilled work associated with the operation and maintenance of streets, storm sewers, and water and sewer utility systems and of Village owned facilities and parks. The work includes construction, operation, repair, maintenance, and replacement activities and involves the operation of a variety of different vehicles, machinery, and equipment. Graduation from high school or GED equivalency and three years of related experience in the construction and maintenance of public works or utilities infrastructure and the operation of vehicles and equipment commonly used in this type of work; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must be available for overtime work when required, including periodic night and weekend work. Subject to 24-hour emergency call-in and may be required to work extended periods at a time. Must be able to respond to emergency call outs within 30 minutes in all weather conditions. Starting pay range is $24.03/hour to $30.45/hour (depending on qualifications) with an excellent benefit package, including health insurance, participation in Wisconsin Retirement System, ample paid time off and much more.
