The work includes: Replace the building’s fire alarm system to bring the building up to current UFC requirements. Provide new combination fire alarm/mass notification control panel (FMCP) and complete system in compliance with UFC 3-600-01 and UFC 4-021-01. Building 536 is a Bachelors Enlisted Quarters (BEQ). Provide all fire alarm/mass notification equipment, wires, conduit, devices, transmitter, and transceiver throughout the entire facility.
Due to an electrical storm it was discovered that some of our fire alarm system components have been damaged due to an electrical strike. The current fire alarm system is an Edwards EST3.The contractor shall be responsible for replacing the damaged components and repairing the fire alarm system. It was determined the following parts at a minimum need to be replaced:1. 3 Power Supplies2. 6 Batteries3. 4 Transceiver Cards4. 3 Fiber Cards
