The Work to be done consists of furnishing all materials and equipment and performing all labor necessary for the Construction of Inert Waste Cell No. 2 & Initial Sediment Pond B, McDuffie County Solid Waste Facility consisting of grading for compacted cell subgrade, perimeter access roads, drainage ditches, sediment pond and stormwater piping.
ADEC is proposing to issue a modification to the Solid Waste Disposal Permit to include a lateral expansion of the construction and demolition (C&D) waste cell at the Kodiak Island Borough Landfill.APPLICANT INFORMATION: Owner/Operator: Kodiak Island BOROUGHLOCATION The Kodiak Island Borough Landfill is located at 1203 Monashka Bay Road, approximately six miles northwest of the City of Kodiak.
The project consists of the following: Interim closure of the solid waste cell at the Nanwalek Landfill, reworking of waste and the site, and development of a new disposal area. A pre-bid conference will be held at the Purchasing & Contracting Office, 47140 East Poppy Lane, Soldotna, or via Zoom Conference, on July 6, 2023 at 10:00 AM. Attendance at the pre-bid is not mandatory but is strongly recommended.
